We are having such fun studying rocks! The kiddos are really turning into geologists (Did you know the suffix "ist" means someone who studies? See how may words with the suffix "ist" your family can think of?). Today we sorted rocks by size. We used screens to sort them into sand, gravel, and pebbles. During Spring Break, I challenge each family to collect a rock or two that we can observe.
Just 3 more days until Spring Break! I hope you are all looking forward to a fun and relaxing week. If you need some ideas of things to do, please see our online resources page. The kids had a great time trying mathplayground.com today. You might also try prodigygame.com. Better yet, go to MyOn and read, read, read! If you need another copy of the MyOn Log, please click on the link below. Most of all, have a super Spring Break!
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ccPtScYefCNlonQudYbmIUmcSx95QyYxPUjCYtGGoXI/edit Let's get ready to RRRRRRRead! With Spring Break rapidly approaching, what are your plans to keep the reading going? We will be in the final stretches of the school year and we want to finish STRONG! That being said, please consider participating in the Spring Reading Challenge. Did you know that Hygiene finished 2nd during the last break? Let's shoot for first this time around! The kids love MyOn Reader at school but don't often get enough time to use it. I'll load some projects for them to try or let them explore and see what adventures await them in the library. Please find the flyer attached below.
If you need an extra copy of the permission slip, please see the file below.
Well, we didn't catch a leprechaun but we sure did have great fun! Thank you so much for all of the help with the prototypes!!! Happy St. Patrick's Day!
